The Lawn and Landscape Leadership Awards, sponsored by Syngenta, are given annually to those in the green industry who have demonstrated the strongest leadership skills in the world of landscaping and lawn care.  This year, Miles Kuperus, Jr., was part of the 2019 Leadership recipients.

As the president and owner of Farmside Landscape & Design, Miles Kuperus, Jr. runs his business – and his personal life – with an eye toward integrity, ethics and Christian values. “Our faith in our industry, and our faith in our core values is totally why we do what we do,” says Kuperus, who is celebrating his business’ 30th anniversary this year.

Congratulating the award recipients, Stephanie Schwenke, Turf Marketing Manager for Syngenta said, “Syngenta values and respects the leaders of our industry who inspire and shape the future of where we live, work, & play.  We also know the recipients of the Lawn & Landscape Leadership Awards never stop innovating, and neither do we. I want to congratulate the Lawn & Landscape leadership class of 2019.”

Brian Horn, Editor of Lawn & Landscape magazine, presented the awards and noted, “Our leadership and emerging leader award winners constantly strive to succeed in both their personal and professional lives. The passion to be prosperous on both fronts is a prime example of why this industry is filled with the hardest-working people.

The event took place Oct. 16 at the Kentucky Science Center in Louisville, Kentucky during the National 2019 LANDSCAPES conference in Louisville.
