Where did you start at Farmside: When I began working for Farmside I didn’t know what the landscape industry had to offer. With the resources available to me here and within the NALP I have seen what it means to be a landscape professional and want to share that with our community!
Why Landscaping? I have always admired work in trades and the skill it takes to complete projects like our Farmside team. I want to help build the Landscaping industry and show the next generation that it is a career and not just a summer job.

Richard Kuperus
Position: Plant Health Specialist, Snow operations Coordinator, Hiring manager
Role: My primary focus is diagnosing and treating my clients plant material during the green season. I have held positions in maintenance, lawn care and construction as well and lend a hand when I am able to each department. I am also involved in recruitment and the interview process for any potential candidates. During the winter I am happily plowing snow and overseeing operations!
Years of Service: Growing up in the industry I was out on the jobsite earlier than I can remember. I have worked throughout the summer and winter since I was in 7th grade, and part time through college while I pursued a degree in Landscape.
Where did you start at Farmside? I started out as soon as I could fit my hands in a pair of gloves and pick up a shovel.
Why Landscaping? I enjoy working outside, the hustle that it involves and being able to look back and see the beautiful garden spaces that we create and maintain to make an oasis for our clients. To do all of this on a small scale around houses and businesses creates an impact on the surrounding environment that is incredibly rewarding.

Where did you start at Farmside? Lawn care manager
Why Landscaping? I get to work outside most days, not cooped up in an office, and the work is rewarding in that we actually get to see our clients’ lawns and landscapes improve over time.
